Electrical work in Ocean Grove
Ocean Grove mixes original beach shacks and 1970s and 80s family homes with newer builds and renovations. That mix produces a very consistent set of electrical jobs: ageing switchboards that cannot take modern loads, salt-affected outdoor fittings, and holiday homes that need to work reliably after sitting empty.
What we see in Ocean Grove
Older boards in older beach homes
Many original homes still have ceramic fuses or boards with no safety switches. They are not ready for an EV charger, air-con or induction cooktop without an upgrade.
Salt air and outdoor electrical
Being close to the coast shortens the life of outdoor lights, power points and fittings. Marine-suited, sealed fittings last far longer.
Renovations and extensions
Lots of Ocean Grove homes are being extended or rebuilt, which is the right time to add data cabling, extra circuits and better lighting.
